Donations Reflection

Updated: Dec 15, 2021

Donations and Missions

After working grueling custody and divorce cases and wanting the Lafayette community to be a better place, I am often inspired to help create that better place. I like to try and do something good for the community or just contribute a little something and give back.

Recently after educating myself further, I decided to choose three nonprofits I believed were great resources. Below I linked all three organizations and provided a little bit of information about each of them.

The Hospice of Acadiana Foundation serves to help underwrite many of the support programs and services of Hospice of Acadiana, Inc. Through their Mission Moments Fund they are able to provide special requests and/or meet basic needs of their patients during their last chapter of life. Through Acadiana's Center for Loss & Transition, they provide free grief counseling to the community at-large. This is done through individual counseling, support groups, workshops, and in-services held throughout the year.

Ochsner Health is committed to giving back to the communities it serves through preventative screenings, health and wellness resources and partnerships with innovative organizations that share our vision. Ochsner has been providing high-quality clinical and hospital patient care to the people of Louisiana, Mississippi and the Gulf South since 1942.

Red Bird Ministries is a Catholic grief support ministry that focuses on bereaved families who have experienced child loss of any age and circumstance, including pregnancy loss through miscarriage and stillbirth, and after birth as an infant, child, adolescent, or adult. While they operate as Catholics their ministry serves anyone who has experienced the loss of a child.
